Ask the Trainer | Can I Target Specific Areas for Weight Loss - Toning?
|
 |
This week's question comes from Denise: "I can't seem to lose weight or tone any of the areas where I'd like to see improvement. How can I target certain areas in my workout, like thighs, stomach, and arms?" Devin's Response: "Unfortunately, you’re talking about something we call “spot-reduction” or working on specific areas to reduce fat and get toned and, I hate to tell you this, but you can’t work one part of your body to achieve weight loss in that area. However, we do have a new tool that could help. It's called a Bod Pod." Read More. Have a question for Devin? Email him at rsweb@berkeley.edu.
