Rent a Facility

Many of our facilities can be rented for parties, events, tournaments, and other occasions.  See below for descriptions and contact information for our most popular sites. 

How to Rent

• To reserve a facility, please download a Rental Request Form and email it to us at recschedule@berkeley.edu, or fax it to us at (510) 642-0990.
• If you don't see the facility you are interested in, please contact our Event Management department via email at rsevents@berkeley.edu.

RSF Gyms

• Field House - located on the main floor of the RSF, this gym features 3 courts of basketball, built-in bleachers and a separate event entrance. Various gym set-ups are available.
• Blue or Gold - located on the third floor of the RSF, each gym has 2 basketball courts.

Golden Bear Softball Field (Clark Kerr Campus)

• Grass softball field with dirt infield and bases
• Available for one-time rentals or organized leagues
• Email recschedule@berkeley.edu for availability.

Haas Club Room at Strawberry Canyon Recreation Area

• Located on Centennial Drive east of Memorial Stadium, SCRA offers the spectacular Club Room; a gracious room with hardwood floors, fireplace and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the canyon’s greenery.
• Max accommodations: 100 seated; 180 standing.

Group Rates at Strawberry Pool

• Group Reservations at Strawberry Pool are available from May - October during Recreational Swim hours.
• FEES: $3.00 per person entering the facility.
• Services: $50 BBQ/Picnic Area Rental (Flat Rate). 
• To request a group rate download the group rate application (PDF) and return by fax (510-642-0990) a minimum of 2 weeks prior to your requested date.   
• School groups: please contact us directly for special arrangements.

Gymnastics Parties

• Party goers will tumble, bounce, swing and roll to a good time in our gymnastics room at the Golden Bear Recreational Center. We’ll also set up tables and chairs in an adjacent room; you provide cake, utensils, and party favors.
• Parties are held on weekends only; call (510) 642-9821 for available dates.
• Ages: 3 to12; max of 30 kids. Prices range from $150 - $250, depending on the size of the group.

Skateboarding Parties

• 2.5 hours of supervised skateboard fun and instruction.
• Includes a gift package of skateboard products for the birthday skater.

• Prices range from $300 to $650, depending on the size of the group.
