Cal Sport Clubs

The Cal Sport Club program -- managed by UC Berkeley's Department of Recreational Sports -- offers students competition, instruction, and recreation in 25 sports and activities. The program serves as a competitive alternative to intramural sports, physical education, and intercollegiate athletics by offering team members professional coaching, league travel, and participation in national tournaments. Currently, over 1,100 members of the campus community participate in the program.

Sport clubs also provide students the opportunity to develop as leaders by managing their clubs on and off the field.

Membership is open to UC Berkeley students, faculty, staff and the community members that have a valid Cal Rec Club membership.  Each club may have additional requirements specific to its organization and/or league affilitation.  For more information on sport clubs, contact the club officers listed on the contact page or call the Sport Club Office at (510) 643-8024.
